À  LUZ  DO  MUSSÁR

      

              

       Quando o Povo de Israel foi escravizado no Egito, eles perceberam que eram impotentes para derrubar o decreto de Faraó. Em resposta a esta situação, os israelitas instituíram uma solução inovadora. Eles fizeram um "pacto de bondade" uns com os outros. Ou seja: fizeram um compromisso de fazer tudo ao seu alcance para ativamente ajudar e apoiar uns aos outros. Eles sabiam que esta bondade mútua extraordinária iria despertar a bondade do Todo-Poderoso para com eles. De fato, o mérito de sua enorme bondade uns com os outros despertou o milagre do êxodo do Egito.

        Neste Tisha B'Av (hoje, dia 31 de julho, ao anoitecer, e durante todo o dia 1^o de agosto) há algo muito poderoso que podemos fazer para promover e avançar a Gueulá, a grande Redenção. Nossos Sábios nos ensinaram que a forma como tratamos os outros reflete diretamente sobre como o Todo-Poderoso nos trata. Por conseguinte, quanto mais nos interessarmos, honrarmos e agirmos com benevolência para com os demais, mais o Criador despertará Seu interesse, honra e bondade para conosco e rapidamente trará a Gueulá!

 

        Façamos o nosso melhor ao abrir o coração para ajudar e beneficiar toda e cada pessoa. Isto ajudará a terminar este tão longo exílio e trazer a tão esperada Gueulá!

SF - Jerusalem in Her Joy

Jerusalem in Her Joy Our Sages teach (Ta'anis 30), "Whoever mourns for Jerusalem merits to see Jerusalem in her joy."  It is interesting to note that the Sages did not say, "will merit to see Jerusalem in her joy" i.e., in the future. Instead they said, "merits to see Jerusalem in her joy" i.e., in the present. Through this nuance in tense, the Sages reveal a precious secret. When a person mourns over the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem, and sheds tears over the loss of holiness, he comes to understand the incomparable preciousness of the Temple, the dwelling place of HaShem. His soul longs for the  holiness and light of the Temple and the Holy Shechinah. His very yearning for the Shechinah, grants him the merit to experience a glimpse of the glory of the ancient holiness. In light of this our Sages state, ""Whoever mourns for Jerusalem merits to see Jerusalem in her joy." Lesson: Our very mourning over the destruction of the Temple and sadness over the exile of the Shechinah, awakens a deep yearning in our hearts for the holiness of HaShem. When HaShem sees our longing to be close to Him, He grants us a glimpse of His holiness, purity, and light. Visualization: Envision the Temple standing in Jerusalem. See the golden Menorah and its flames  of light, hear the Levites singing joyous songs of praise to HaShem, and sense the awe when the Kohen enters the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur. Long for the Temple and holy Shechinah -- and experience Jerusalem in her joy. Tisha B"Av -- There is Something We Can Do When Klal Yisrael were enslaved in Egypt, they realized that they were powerless to overthrow Pharaoh's decree. In response to their situation, Klal Yisrael instituted an innovative solution. They made a "covenant of kindness "with each other. Meaning, they made a commitment to do everything in their power to actively help and support each other . They knew that their uncommon kindness to each other, would awaken Hashem's kindness to them. Indeed, the merit of their extraordinary kindness to each other, awakened the miraculous Exodus from Egypt. Lesson: This Tisha B'Av there is something very powerful that we can do to advance the Geulah. Our holy Sages teach us, that the way we treat each other reflects on how HaShem treats us. Therefore, the more we love, honor, and act with kindness to each other, the more HaShem will awaken His love, honor, and kindness for Klal Yisrael and quickly bring the Geulah! Visualization: Envision the warmth, compassion, and love that pulsated in the heart of Avraham Avinu for every person. Transpose his joy, goodness, and care for his fellow man to your heart. Do your best to open your heart to love and bestow kindness on every person. Visualize our love and unity awakening HaShem's unconditional love for Klal Yisrael and bring the Geulah!
