SF - HaShem Beckons to Us With Love and Affection

"And HaShem called unto Moshe" (Vayikra 1:1). The Hebrew word Vayikra -- "called" -- expresses affection and warmth. In this light, HaShem called lovingly to Moshe. We find that the angels also address themselves to each other in love, "And one angel called to the other angel." Not only do the angels speak affectionately to each other, even more, they empower each other! A greater angel calls to a lesser angel, intending to increase the power of the lesser angel, so that the lesser angel can sanctify and praise HaShem with new dimensions of holiness. In the same way, not only did HaShem call lovingly to Moshe, even more, HaShem enriched Moshe's capacity to receive additional dimensions of blessings, prophecy, and holiness.

HaShem knows that man has unlimited capacity to receive and expand his spiritual powers. HaShem addresses Moshe Rabenu, and Klal Yisrael, with words of warmth and love. In this way, HaShem elevates us to new levels of holiness and purity.

Reflect on the love and encouragement that HaShem expressed to Moshe Rabenu, and in turn, all Klal Yisrael. Internalize HaShem's expression of love and encouragement to you. Be inspired, knowing that you have unlimited capacity to receive and expand your holiness, purity, Torah wisdom, and service to HaShem.

SF - The Secret of Irrepressible Trust

"Trust in HaShem, strengthen and encourage yourself, and trust in HaShem" (Tehillim 27). This inspirational verse teaches us to always rely and trust in HaShem because even a thousand difficulties cannot extinguish one's dynamic faith. "Trust in HaShem," that no trouble will come. If trouble does come, "Strengthen and encourage yourself." Meaning, never give up hope from finding HaShem's compassion, even if "the sword is resting on your neck." Lastly, "And trust in HaShem," meaning, on the merit of your irrepressible trust in HaShem the trouble will pass and you will find relief.

Unyielding faith in HaShem is the key to our personal redemption. In addition, our pure trust in HaShem awakens the redemption of all Klal Yisrael.

Reflect upon and repeat today's verse. Envision your trust in HaShem growing stronger and stronger, and see all of your troubles fade away. Envision all of Klal Yisrael trusting in HaShem and awaken the merit to bring our final redemption.

SF - Natural Love

"'Love your friend like you love yourself,' is a great principle of the Torah" (Rabbi Akiva). The basis of spirituality rests on the precious attribute of truly loving others with our full hearts. In light of this, the Torah guides us on the path to attain this golden virtue. What is the way to love? Love other people "naturally" the same way that you naturally love yourself.

Love is an instinctual feeling of fondness, warmth, and affection. The Torah wisely advises us to love others genuinely and not as the fulfillment of a rule. Rather, to love others by awakening love in our hearts, just as naturally as we love ourselves,

Envision as you speak to your friend, the love in your heart for him continuously intensifies. Open and expand your heart and experience love, warmth, and compassion for all of your family, friends, and dear ones.
