SF - The Holiest Place on Earth

The Holiest Place on Earth Yaacov Avinu traveled from Eretz Yisrael towards Charan. Upon his arrival in Charan, he remarked, "How can it be that I passed Mount Moriah, the place where my father and grandfather prayed, and I did not stop to pray there?" Why didn't Yaacov remember the significance of Mount Moriah until he arrived in Charan? When Yaacov arrived at Charan his spiritual powers diminished. He realized that the true source of his holiness was the illumination of the Shechinah, in Eretz Yisrael. Therefore, he returned to pray at Mount Moriah to receive HaShem's choicest blessings for him and his future descendants. Lesson: Eretz Yisrael is the holiest place on earth.. The light of the Shechinah permeates the heart and soul of every person present in Eretz Yisrael. Visualization: Envision Yaacov Avinu praying at Mount Moriah, the same place where Avraham and Yitzchak prayed. See him rejoice when he experiences closeness to the Shechinah. Hear HaShem tell him, "I will be with you and protect you. I will give this Holy Land to your descendants." SF - Life Giving Smile

Life Giving Smile   "In the light of the countenance of the King is life" (Mishlei). When a person sees his dear friend or beloved relative, he smiles with joy. So too, "the light of the countenance of the King" alludes to the joy and love that HaShem has for Klal Yisrael. It is comforting to know -- and truly amazing -- that HaShem "smiles" upon us constantly. In fact, our very life radiates from the light of the perpetual smiling countenance of HaShem!   Lesson: Nothing is as beautiful as a smile. It beams a magnificent message of joy and acceptance. Lá por seus 40 anos de idade, Essav, o irmão de Yaacov, casou-se com Machalat, a filha de Ishmael. O nome Machalat significa 'perdão'. Nossos Sábios derivam um ensinamento maravilhoso deste versículo: no dia do casamento da pessoa, o Todo-Poderoso perdoa todos os seus pecados.

Por que o casamento 'automaticamente' consegue perdão para o novo casal?

Ao se casar, a pessoa cruza um portal para novas oportunidades e opções. A consciência dessas possibilidades lhe inspira o desejo de melhorar e elevar-se. No entanto, apesar de realmente querer mudar, às vezes o peso de sua "bagagem passada" pode ser difícil de descarregar.

Vem o Todo-Poderoso e lhe demonstra Sua infinita compaixão, perdoando todos os seus erros do passado. Esta bondade maravilhosa do Criador permite que o indivíduo descarte seus erros passados, dando-lhe a liberdade para concretizar seus sentimentos e transformar-se em uma nova pessoa.

Mesmo àqueles que não estão se casando agora ou já estão casados, a maior alegria que há é sabermos que o Todo-Poderoso está sempre abrindo novas portas para nos beneficiar, proporcionando oportunidades de crescermos cada vez mais!

SF - The "Desire" of HaShem

The "Desire" of HaShem In the entire Torah there is just one reference to HaShem "desiring" something. What is it that HaShem desires? Our holy Sages reveal, "HaShem desires the prayers of the righteous." Just as food has taste, so too, the prayers of righteous have "taste." Meaning, when the tzadikim pray, they sense the mercy, love, and kindness of HaShem. HaShem desires the prayers of the tzadikim because their prayers  are rich with the joy of knowing HaShem's infinite goodness. Lesson: Prayer is an opportunity to express our believe in HaShem and to experience the joy of coming close to Him. The more we sense the holiness of HaShem through our prayers, the more HaShem desires our prayers. App: When you have a challenge in life, remind yourself that HaShem wants nothing more than your heartfelt prayer. Pray immediately to HaShem before taking any action.
