The Secret of the Miraculous Redemption
"The reward of a mitzvah corresponds to the level of difficulty required to fulfill it." Klal Yisrael suffered terrible anguish at the hands of the Egyptian bondage. Therefore, their prayers, which were uttered from the midst of great troubles, merited the great wonders and miracles of the redemption.
Lesson: HaShem empathizes with our adversity. When we do a mitzvah under duress, HaShem amplifies the reward hundreds of times.
App: Be encouraged by knowing that HaShem rewards you commensurately to the level of your commitment to fulfill His
mitzvos -- the greater the difficulty, the greater the reward!
