SF - HaShem Will Save Him

"Fortunate is he who is thoughtful of the poor; HaShem will save him on the day of trouble" (Psalms 41:2).

The connotation of "the poor" embraces various types of poor people. For instance, a person can be monetarily poor, poor of health, or poor of wisdom. King David explains that thoughtfulness is required in order to perform the type of kindness which is most beneficial to the recipient. Thoughtfulness also helps us find the easiest way for the recipient to receive your kindness.

The perfection of giving, in all situations of poorness, is commensurate to the amount of kindness and sensitivity woven into the act.

Visualization: Envision Avraham Avinu contemplating on the best ways to welcome his guests with friendliness and honor. Imagine him discussing with Sarah the quickest way to prepare a delicious and nutritious meal for the hungry travelers. Contemplate on how you can best help and bring joy to others. Activate your plan of kindness and HaShem will protect you, just as you came to the aid of your friend.
