| The Hidden Potential Within Man
At the beginning stage of creation, "the earth was astonishingly empty and barren." From this lifeless mass, the Creator brought forth plants, animals, and mankind. The once desolate earth sprouted with every type of life, setting the stage for man, the centerpiece of creation, to develop his spiritual powers. The light of HaShem illuminating the path of goodness, giving mankind the opportunity to earn eternal life.
Lesson: Desolation is neither final nor hopeless. It is the building block, through which HaShem works to establish the wonder of existence.
App: Do not despair from your shortcomings. Rather, be inspired by reminding yourself that HaShem brought forth wondrous growth from the apparent void of the primordial world. (Based on the commentary of Rashi to Bereishis 1:2 )
