Kindness - The Greatest Innovation
After two thousand years of darkness, Avraham Avinu illuminated the world with the goodness of loving kindness -- the greatest innovation in the history of the world. His ways of love and kindness spread throughout the world. Only Sodom rejected Avraham's light and openly advocated ruthlessness and cruelty. Nevertheless, in his unbounded love, Avraham pleaded with HaShem to spare the people of Sodom from destruction.
Lesson: Avraham's mastery of kindness was perfected by his boundless and unconditional love of all HaShem's creations.
