| The Holiness of Eretz Yisrael
"When HaShem gave the nations their inheritance, when He separated the children of man" (Devarim 32:8).
This verse reveals that each land has different energies and characteristics. In light of this, the people of each country have uniquely different characteristics. The special attribute of Eretz Yisrael is that it is the place where the Shechinah dwells. Our Sages tell us that the air of Eretz Yisrael is so holy that it imparts wisdom to those who live here. The spirituality of Eretz Yisrael stimulates the Jewish souls who live in her boundaries with dynamic growth. It is the perfect environment for Klal Yisrael to blossom, individually and collectively.
Lesson: Eretz Yisrael is fertile ground for human beings to develop spiritually. Just as the spiritual resources that lie within the Land of Israel produce the best esrogim in the world, so too, eminently righteous people are indigenous to Eretz Yisrael.
Visualization: Sense the love of Eretz Yisrael that the Avos held in their heart. Envision Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaacov learning Torah together in Eretz Yisrael. See the holiness of their Torah learning bringing light, joy, and blessing to the entire world. Envision each one of the Avos attaining prophecy and hear HaShem tell Avraham Avinu: "I give to you and to your descendants the land of your sojourning, the entire land of Caanan, as an eternal inheritance, and I will be your G-d" (Berieshis 17:8).
