The Gift of Torah
"HaShem gave us the Torah and implanted eternal life within us" (Mishlei 23:5).
HaShem lovingly gave us His precious Torah at Mount Sinai to elevate and sanctify our lives in this world, and to attain our share of eternal delight in the World to Come. In addition, prior to Mount Sinai, only our holy Avos -- the Patriarchs -- merited to receive the Torah and understand its wisdom. When HaShem gave us the Torah at Mount Sinai, He revealed to us His great love and compassion. At that special time, He implanted the wisdom of Torah in the hearts of the entire Klal Yisrael for all generations.
Lesson: When Moshe received the Torah at Mount Sinai, he effectively brought the Torah down from Heaven to the earth. Every Jewish person has the inherent capacity to understand the Torah and her secrets, because HaShem implanted the Torah in our very hearts and souls.
Visualization: Envision the light of the Torah emanating from HaShem and filling your heart and soul with its wisdom and holiness. May the awareness of our intrinsic understanding of Torah, inspire us to pursue Torah study and its practice with enthusiasm, strength, and joy.
