SF - A Soft Heart Heals the Body

"A soft heart heals the body" (Mishlei 14:30). "A soft heart" refers to a person who has developed a caring, compassionate, and loving heart. "A soft hearted" person seeks and prays for the good of Klal Yisrael, collectively and individually. His positive outlook and actions inspired by his good heart, "heals his body" because he is free from all negativity. The Temple was destroyed because of the sin of "baseless hatred." During these days before Tisha B'Av, it is especially important that we strengthen the love for our fellow man within our hearts. If we soften our hearts, the spirit of love will bring blessings of healing and light to Klal Yisrael, and the entire world.

A good heart, filled with love for our fellow man is the best prescription for health, tranquility, and happiness.

(1) Each new day upon arising consciously awaken love in your heart for every person. (2) Strengthen the love in your heart so that you can love people who hold different views than you. (3) Expand the love in your heart until you embrace love for all mankind. (4) Love them by focusing on their good virtues and overlook all of their imperfections. (5) Develop a good heart, filled with love and attain health, tranquility, and happiness.
