The journey is beautiful

Before HaShem sent the plague of hail, He warned the Egyptians to take their flocks indoors so that their shepherds would not be killed by the falling hail. The reason for HaShem's concern is found in a principle of our Sages, "Beloved is man, for he is created in the image of HaShem." HaShem's love for man extends to all mankind -- even the shepherds of the cruel Egyptians. HaShem, our loving Father, doesn't want any of His children to ever suffer. HaShem is 'good to all of His Creations' and has a special love for humankind. HaShem has an even a greater love, for Klal Yisrael, in particular, because the Mitzvos bring to life the holy image of HaShem that lies within our soul.
