SF -- The Significance of the Slaying the First Born Egyptian

What was the message that HaShem delivered through the slaying of the first born son of each Egyptian family? HaShem brought strict judgment on the Egyptians in order to reveal that He loves every single Jewish person, as if he is His only child. Therefore, even if there had been just one Jew, he alone, would have been worthy of the miracles of the Ten Plagues, the splitting of the Red Sea, and the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai!

HaShem loves each one of us, as if we are His only child. Just as HaShem redeemed us from slavery and provided for all of our needs, so too, we can be absolutely certain that HaShem will provide all of our needs.

Envision the love and compassion that a mother holds for her newborn baby. See the joy that beams from her smiling countenance to her baby. Reflect on the wonder that HaShem loves you as if you are His only child, Be inspired and encouraged that HaShem will always help, rescue, and redeem you!
