SF - The Joy of Moshe Rabenu \ Parashat Pekudei

The Joy of Moshe Rabenu \ Parashat Pekudei

D'var Torah:  After the wise men of Israel completed all the vessels and components of the Mishkan, no one knew how to assemble it, so they gave up after many attempts. When Moshe saw the problem, a spirit of holiness rested upon him and endowed him with the merit to set up the Mishkan. The excellence of Moshe was not in his superior engineering skills, rather it was his holy character. Moshe focused not on the difficulty of the task, but only on the love and excitement of this precious Mitzvah. When he saw the wise men had completed the making of the vessels, he rejoiced with the supreme joy of performing Mitzvot. It was this joy that kindled the ruach HaKodesh, and merited him to succeed in fulfilling the Mitzvah of building the Mishkan.

Moral: Moshe's mastery of greeting the Mitzvot with great joy awakened for him the merit of Divine assistance.

Application: Celebrate the preciousness and love of the Mitzvot. Tap into the joy and it will bring special heavenly blessings of help and accomplishment. Regardless of the apparent difficulty of the task, HaShem will grant us success in our spiritual endeavors, and we will merit to rejoice in the holy light of the Shechinah.

The Salant Foundation is currently looking for a Shul or community to partner with us in sharing the merit of the unique and important Salant Kollel. There are practical and easy ways (such as adoptakollel.org) to create a special mutual relationship between the Kollel and a Shul or community.
If you think your
shul or community or even workplace might want to
participate in supporting the Salant Kollel, please
contact Rabbi Zvi Miller
at salantorg@gmail.com, and
we'll discuss how to go about implementing your idea. Thank you.
