The Secret Joy of the Sukkah

The Talmud reveals that HaShem created the world with the letter 'ה (Heh), one of the letters that form the Name of HaShem. Additionally, our Sages teach us that the power of the letter   assists a person to engage in the healing process of repentance. In this light, we understand that when a person performs repentance it is as if he -- and the entire universe -- are created anew! Even more, HaShem shines the Light of the Holy Shechinah upon him and loves him with more dimensions of love and closeness than ever before. Amazingly, HaShem places a special crown on the letter  to reveal that He places a crown upon the head of those who perform repentance!

Lesson:  After the cleansing of Yom Kippur, the Day of Forgiveness, we are all pure and fresh. HaShem invites us to enter the Sukah and enjoy the light of the Holy Schechinah.

Visualization: Envision that you are wearing a golden crown, that HaShem has placed upon your head. Sense that you are pure and clean.  When you enter the Sukah, feel the joy of being in the presence of the Holy Shechinah.
