The Life Mission of a Jew
When HaShem offered the Torah to Klal Yisrael we responded, "We will fulfill it and we will understand it." Meaning, we accept upon ourselves to fulfill the Torah, even before knowing the full scope of the Torah's laws and ethical principles." Our commitment to the Torah is comparable to the way an angel discharges his assignment, with absolute efficiency and loyalty to carry out HaShem's will. So too, we, as a people, have an intuitive sense that our life mission is to fulfill the Torah. Therefore, we accepted upon ourselves to absolutely fulfill and uphold the Torah, even before knowing what the Torah would require of us.
Lesson: The Jewish People intuitively understand that HaShem created us, collectively and individually, to take responsibility to learn and fulfill the Holy Torah.
Visualization: Envision yourself standing at Mount Sinai. Hear Moshe Rabenu ask you, "Do you agree to accept the Torah and take responsibility to fulfill it's laws, Mitzvos, and ethical principles?" Connect with your soul's intuitive knowledge that HaShem created you to fulfill the Torah. Respond to Moshe with a great sense of commitment, "I will fulfill and I will understand."
