The greatest success that man can attain is to "know HaShem." Meaning, to clearly see that HaShem is absolutely good and bestows endless rivers of kindness to His creations. When a person recognizes HaShem's unabated love and kindness, HaShem reciprocates and grants him new dimensions of kindness, mercy, and success. In this light, Avraham Avinu recognized that HaShem was supremely good and kind. Reciprocally, HaShem said, "I know Avraham" (Bereishis 18:19), meaning, HaShem blessed him with the highest level of success.
Lesson: The more we rejoice in HaShem's kindness, the more HaShem will shower us with every success and pleasant blessing.
App: Set aside a few minutes to count your blessings -- and be surrounded by HaShem's kindness, goodness, and love. (Based on the commentary of the Ohr RaShaz, Rabbi Simcha Zissel) |
