"And Kindness to Avraham" Avraham Avinu related to his fellow man with compassion and graciousness. Even when someone treated him improperly, Avraham mastered over human nature and responded with mercy and patience. Measure for measure HaShem's mercy overlooked Avraham's imperfections, just as he overlooked the flaws of others. Lesson: When we treat others with compassion, we awaken HaShem's compassion upon ourselves, our community, and Klal Yisrael. App: If someone offends you, pause for a moment to regain your composure -- and awaken HaShem's compassion upon yourself and the world by responding with compassion.
