Korach's Fatal Mistake
When Korach brazenly challenged Moshe's authority he said, "Why do you elevate yourself above the people? Do you think you will rule over us?" This is an outrageous accusation because the Torah states that "Moshe was the humblest of man." Why did Korah charge Moshe of something that was clearly untrue? Korach attempted to manipulate the situation by deliberately flipping the truth of Moshe's integrity. Ultimately, HaShem stepped in and "flipped" Korach into a great abyss. Moral: One who digs a hole to trap his friend, might very well be the victim in the end.
