The Secret of Trust
"Rejoice in HaShem and He will give you the desire of your heart" (Tehillim 37:4).
This Psalm reveals a great secret about trust in HaShem. There are many levels of trusting HaShem and the resulting peace of mind. However, the highest level of trust in HaShem is born by recognizing His goodness, love, and compassion so strongly, that we truly "rejoice in HaShem." When our trust in HaShem is so absolute that it awakens joy within our heart, then "He will give us the desire of our heart."
Lesson: Reflect on the truth that HaShem is the Creator of the universe, and that He renews the act of creation each and every second of existence. Put your full trust in HaShem -- the Source of all Goodness and Redemption. Rejoice in Him and He will give you the desire of your heart. (Based on the commentary of the Brisker Rav)
