The Path to Peace of Mind There are many striking advantages of a person who trusts in HaShem. For instance, a person who trusts in HaShem is blessed with peace of mind because he firmly believes "everything that HaShem does is for the good." King David expressed this type of steadfast trust in HaShem, "My soul is calm with HaShem, for He is my hope." Whereas a person who does not trust in HaShem is always in a state of anxiety and worry. When he receives good he is unhappy because he expects more. When he has troubles, he is even more perturbed because he is annoyed things are not going his way. Lesson: Strengthen your trust in HaShem a little more each day, and continuously increase your peace of mind, tranquility, and joy of life. (Based on Chovos HaLavavos, Shar HaBitachon)
