Connect Yourself to The Fountain of Goodness \ Bitachon
D'var Torah: A person who sincerely trusts in HaShem never worries, as the verse says: "Blessed is the person who trusts in HaShem, and HaShem is his security. He is like a tree planted by the waterside that spreads its roots into the stream" (Yermiyahu 17). Just as a tree planted by the waterside never worries for lack of water, so too, a person who trusts in HaShem never worries because he connects himself to the Source of Good. In addition, a person who has perfect trust in HaShem never fears any setback or downfall, as the verse says (Ishaiah 12): "I will trust and I will not be afraid."
Moral: Trust in HaShem gives us confidence in HaShem's help, support, and protection. Even more, it connects us to HaShem, the very Source of Good, so that the endless blessings of HaShem constantly flow upon us.
Application: Envision a tree growing on the side of a stream. See how its roots stretch into the steam, and take in a continuous supply of life-giving waters. Attain tranquility by placing your heartfelt trust in HaShem, and connect yourself to the ever-flowing Fountain of Goodness. Enjoy His unbounded and ever-present blessings, protection, forgiveness, and loving kindness!
