The Purim Formula for Success
The mission of Klal Yisrael is to bring the Presence of HaShem into this world through fulfilling the will of HaShem. We can only accomplish this when we are united. Haman realized that Klal Yisrael was spread out throughout the 127 provinces. Since they lacked unity, he sensed they were vulnerable to attack. Therefore, he concocted his evil plan to annihilate Klal Yisrael. When Mordecai and Esther learned of Haman's scheme, they immediately united Klal Yisrael to fast and pray. Haman's evil plan backfired! He caused the unification of Klal Yisrael, and his own destruction. Once we were united, we were in a position to receive HaShem's protection and salvation! Lesson: The purpose of the four Mitzvos of Purim -- Coming together to hear the Megillah, Shalach Manos, Matonos L'evyonim, and the Purim Suedah -- is to help us unite, and have mutual love and respect for all of our Jewish brethren. When we recreate the unity that Klal Yisrael had in the days of Mordecai and Esther, we will fulfill HaShem's will and merit to see the light of the final redemption!
