SF - The Joy of Knowing HaShem

The Joy of Knowing HaShem

"I will take you to me to be My people and I will be your G-d, and you will know that I am your G-d, Who takes you out from the burdens of Egypt" (Shemos 6:7).

HaShem revealed His unbounded compassion for us, when He miraculously freed us from the crushing Egyptian enslavement. The great events of the Ten Plagues and the Exodus inspired Klal Yisrael to recognize that HaShem is truly our merciful, loving, and caring    G-d. As the Torah clearly proclaims, "I will take you to me to be My people and I will be your G-d, and you will know that I am your G-d, Who takes you out from the burdens of Egypt."

Lesson: When HaShem mercifully rescued us from our hardships in Egypt, it opened our eyes to clearly recognize HaShem's great love for us.

Visualization: Envision yourself, your family and friends as slaves in Egypt. You all suffer under the burdens of the oppressive slavery and the unbearable workload. Suddenly, HaShem reveals His unbounded compassion and love to you, and all of Klal Yisrael. He performs awesome miracles to free Klal Yisrael from slavery. Even more, He takes Klal Yisrael, alone, to be His treasured people.
