SF - I Hope In HaShem

"I hope for HaShem, my soul hopes; and for His word, I wait" (Psalms 130:5). The Torah prophetically reveals that ultimately HaShem will reveal His glory and the splendor of His great majesty. In light of this, the verse says, "I hope for HaShem, my soul hopes." Meaning, those who steadfastly trust in HaShem, will merit to see the wondrous revelation of HaShem. In addition, "for His word, I wait," meaning, they wait for the final redemption. This event is expressed by the verse, "Even if your exiles are at the end of the heavens, HaShem your G-d, will gather you from there, and He will take you from there. And HaShem your G-d will bring you to the land that your forefathers possessed, and you will take possession of it, and He will do good to you, and He will make you more numerous that your forefathers" (Deuteronomy 30:4).

Our collective hope in HaShem and our longing for redemption, despite our prolonged exile, is the merit that will bring the final redemption.

Reflect on the emergence of our homeland in Israel after 2000 years of exile. Thank HaShem for witnessing this unprecedented miracle. Be encouraged by knowing that our irrepressible faith over the centuries has given birth to the great miracle of the reestablishment of the Jewish People in Eretz Yisrael. Strengthen your hope and faith in HaShem, and merit to see the revelation of HaShem and the final redemption.

SF - Rejoice in HaShem's Love

At the inauguration of the Tabernacle the prince of each tribe, personally donated the gold and silver of his individual offering. However, since each member of Klal Yisrael received enormous wealth when they left Egypt, each prince easily afforded these donations. Nevertheless, the Torah records for posterity the details of the offerings of each prince.

If HaShem has so much love, honor, and reward for those who serve Him in ease, how much more love, honor, and reward does HaShem grant when one's service to HaShem requires great effort.

Rejoice and be encouraged in knowing how much HaShem values the effort that you make to serve Him. The greater your effort and dedication, the more abundant reward, honor, and love HaShem showers upon you!

SF - This Is Also For Good

Nachum Ish Gam Zu was a holy Sage, who had a remarkably positive life perspective. He knew that since HaShem is absolutely good, anything that HaShem does must be good. Whenever something ostensively "bad" happened to him, he always said, "This is also for the good." Nachum Ish Gam Zu had steadfast faith that everything that occurred to him was rooted in pure kindness. By meeting hardship with the declaration of faith, "This is also for the good," he joined the darkness to its source of light. Through his faith in HaShem's absolute goodness, he transformed the seemingly negative event into a great goodness.

By expressing our steadfast trust in HaShem's goodness, and saying, "This is also for the good," we literally join the "bad" to its good source; and transform adversity to goodness, blessing, light, and deliverance.

Greet difficulties with trust in HaShem's goodness and say, "This is also for the good!" -- and transform the difficulty to the pure goodness of HaShem. Envision your life filled with happiness, success, and closeness to HaShem
