       Rabi Akiva nos ensinou que "Amar o próximo como a si mesmo" é um grande princípio da Torá. A base para crescermos em espiritualidade repousa sobre o precioso atributo de verdadeiramente gostarmos dos demais com todo o coração. Porém, como se consegue isto?

 

       A resposta é: gostemos das outras pessoas 'naturalmente' – da mesma maneira como gostamos de nós próprios 'naturalmente'.

      

       O amor é um sentimento instintivo de afeto, interesse e carinho. A Torá sabiamente nos orienta a gostarmos das pessoas genuinamente e não como cumprimento de uma lei. Ninguém quer ser amado por ordem da Torá, pois um amor forçado não é um amor sincero.

 

       O caminho para termos sucesso nesta mitsvá é despertarmos a nossa atenção e interesse pelos pontos positivos e pelo bem estar dos demais – como o fazemos com nós mesmos. Desta maneira chegaremos a um sentimento de interesse positivo e amor por nossos familiares, amigos e entes queridos – e naturalmente!

SF - Awaken the Light

Awaken the Light When speaking about the holy Temple, HaShem states, "I will dwell amongst you." It is as if HaShem is saying, "I will come into your house." Yet, it seems the very opposite takes place, i.e., we go to His house. The answer to this mystery is the secret of man's purpose. After the creation of the world, HaShem charged Klal Yisrael with the privilege of bringing the blessing of HaShem into the world, through the fulfillment of His Mitzvos. It is as if, HaShem relies upon us to increase His Presence in the world. Lesson: In general, HaShem is the Source of all Good, and the creations receive His beneficence.  However, He has given one aspect of His power  to humankind -- the bringing down of His blessings to the world.  App: When you pray, intend to attach yourself to HaShem and draw down His Light, Blessing, Goodness, Compassion, and Redemption to the world. SF - The Secret of Loving Others

The Secret of Loving Others "'Love your friend like you love yourself,' is a great principle of the Torah" (Rabbi Akiva). The basis of spirituality rests on the precious attribute of truly loving others with our full hearts. In light of this, the Torah guides us on the path to attain this golden virtue. What is the way to love? Love other people "naturally" the same way that you naturally love yourself.  Lesson:  Love is an instinctual feeling of  fondness, warmth, and affection. The Torah wisely advises us to love others genuinely and not as the fulfillment of a rule. Rather, to love others by awakening love in our hearts, just as naturally as we love ourselves, Visualization: Envision as you speak to your friend, the love in your heart for him continuously intensifies. Com a aproximação da festividade de Shavuót, vejamos como os nossos Sábios nos iluminaram para entendermos sua grande importância.

     O Rei David escreveu nos Salmos (8:2): "Todo-Poderoso, nosso D'us, quão poderoso é o Seu nome sobre toda a Terra; O senhor coloca Sua glória sobre os céus."

 

 

Os ministros reais estavam retornando ao palácio com uma coroa gloriosa que foi encomendada e preparada para a coroação do novo rei. A elegante coroa resplandecia com ouro e diamantes. Quando se aproximavam dos portões da cidade, eles viram alguns camponeses que lavravam o campo.

Os ministros mostraram a coroa aos camponeses, que ficaram impressionados com sua beleza. Então um dos ministros perguntou aos camponeses se trocariam seu arado pela coroa.

"A coroa é linda, mas se trocamos os nossos arados não teremos como cultivar a terra", afirmou um dos camponeses.

"Você não está pensando com clareza", disse o ministro. "Se possuísse esta coroa, poderia vendê-la por milhões de dólares. Aí poderia comprar todos esses campos e contratar seus próprios trabalhadores!"

A coroa na história representa a nossa preciosa e inestimável Torá. Vale à pena "trocarmos" um pouco de nosso tempo durante o dia pela preciosa dádiva do estudo da Torá. O crescimento pessoal e os benefícios eternos que receberemos da Torá valem muito mais do que todo o ouro, dinheiro e pedras preciosas do mundo!

The Secret of Spiritual Success Yaacov Avinu was separated from his holy parents for over twenty years. He found himself alone in a foreign land, surrounded by idol-worshippers, and constantly watching his back from the ploys of his unscrupulous father-in-law. What was the secret of his success? Visualization:  Envision yourself sticking fast to the Torah and its Mitzvos, whether you are with your friends or all alone.  Reflect that the more you faithfully "walk in the ways of Torah." the more HaShem will bless you! À  LUZ  DO  MUSSÁR

      

               

   

      

       Yohai estava casado há muitos anos, mas não tinha filhos. Com um coração triste e alquebrado e um oceano de lágrimas, sua esposa orou por um milagre.

 

       Certa noite Yohai sonhou que ele estava em uma floresta de árvores secas e sem folhas. Cada árvore era regada com um pequeno copo de água e florescia para a vida. O copo logo chegou à sua árvore, que estava ao lado de um barril de água. Porém, ao invés do copo, foi o barril que verteu água em sua árvore e ela floresceu com folhas e frutos.

 

       Ele contou este sonho a um Sábio e perguntou-lhe o seu significado. O Sábio disse que ele teria um grande filho que floresceria em Torá e iluminaria o mundo inteiro com luz. Yohai perguntou-lhe por que as outras árvores tinham um copo, enquanto a sua árvore tinha um barril de água? O Sábio respondeu: "O barril simboliza as abundantes lágrimas derramadas por sua esposa".

 

       O ensinamento? Orações sinceras acompanhadas de lágrimas têm o poder de converter as trevas em luz e trazer enormes salvações!
