SF - The Blessing of Peace \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

When we bless our girls, we say, "May HaShem make you like Sarah, Rivka, Rachel, and Leah. When we bless our boys, we say, "May HaShem make you like Ephraim and Menashe." Why don't we bless our boys to be like our Patriarchs, Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaacov, just as we bless our girls to be like our Matriarchs, Sarah, Rivka, Rachel, and Leah? Avraham had two sons, Yitzchak and Yishmael, yet there was strife between them. Yitzchak had two sons, Yaacov and Eisav, who lived in conflict. Yaacov had twelve sons, and they sold their brother, Yoseph, into slavery.

As a result of Yoseph's discord with his brothers, he recognized the importance of peace in family relationships. When he raised his sons, Ephraim and Menashe, he emphasized the supreme value of peace. Even when Yaacov gave Ephraim, the second son, the blessing of the firstborn,, Menashe had no misgivings towards his brother whatsoever. Ephraim and Menashe were the first brothers to live in peace.

We bless our boys to be like Ephraim and Menashe because we want our children to live together in peace and harmony.

May the souls who left this world be remembered for a blessing.

SF - The Joyous Song of Humanity \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

"A song of thanks: Shout to HaShem all the earth" (Tehillim 100).
Our Sages reveal that in the Messianic days all other songs of praise will be withdrawn except for "A song of thanks," Tehillim 100. What is the uniqueness of this Psalm? The phrase "all the earth" unlocks the secret of the song. In the Messianic days, all the people of the earth will join together to serve HaShem! At that time, people who stray from the good path, will ultimately return to HaShem. On that merit, HaShem will show them new levels of mercy and forgiveness. Upon recognizing the miracle of HaShem's compassion, all the people of the earth will be moved to sing to HaShem. What song will fill their heart, "A song of thanks: Shout to HaShem all the earth"!

The song of all the people of the earth joining together to praise HaShem, is far greater than the inspirational song of any individual or group.

When you say "A song of thanks" in your morning prayers, sing it with a tune. Envision all humankind joining you in singing this holy song. Let the joy of this song fill your heart with happiness throughout the entire day.

SF - Perfect Love \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

The Precious Gift of Love \ Parashat Vayechei

"And when I came from Padan, Rachel's death fell upon me in the Land of Canaan in the road, when there was still a stretch of land to come to Efrat, and I buried her there on the way to Efrat, which is Bet Lechem" (Bereishis 48:7). Yaacov Avinu explained to Yoseph the reason why he did not bury Rachel, Yoseph's mother, in Machpeila. Rachel died while giving birth to Benyamin on the road near Bet Lechem, which is about ten miles from Machpeilah. "Rachel's death fell upon me," as our Sages taught, "The husband suffers more than anyone else when his wife passes on." Yaacov explained, "The sudden death of Rachel, at such a young age, hit me so hard that I had no recourse other than to bury her in the place where she died on the road. I didn't even have the strength to bring her to the cemetery in Bet Lechem. In fact, Rachel's death so weakened me, that I never regained my former strength."

The hearts of Yaacov and Rachel were bound together in perfect, inseparable, and irreplaceable love. The powerful impact that Rachel's sudden death had on Yaacov, reveals the intense love, closeness, and admiration that Yaacov held for his beloved, Rachel.

Application: Be inspired by Yaacov Avinu to strengthen your love for your loved ones. Reflect on the gift of having the precious love of your dear ones in your life, and the joy of their companionship. Strengthen your love, care, and appreciation of your dear ones. Express your love to loved ones, spend time with them, and enjoy their company.
