      O midrash (uma das explicações da Torá) nos relata que entre os milhares de animais que Noé tomava conta na Arca, houve um que se recusava a comer. Não importa o quanto Noé tentasse, o hol (um tipo de pássaro) não queria comer nenhum alimento. Finalmente, Noé perguntou-lhe o que estava errado. O hol respondeu: "Quando eu vejo o quão duro você trabalha para alimentar os outros animais, eu simplesmente não quero sobrecarregá-lo ainda mais". Em resposta, Noé abençoou o hol e todos os seus descendentes.

       Embora seja da natureza humana considerarmos os favores que nos fazem como algo que 'temos direito', uma pessoa sensível  concentra-se em reconhecer a bondade e o interesse de seus familiares e amigos por ela.

       Apreciemos muito  o esforço que os outros fazem por nós, tornando-nos merecedores de "bênçãos de gratidão".

SF - The Goodness of Empathy

The Goodness of Empathy Noah's son, Shem, explained that it was very difficult to feed all the animals gathered in the ark. While attending to the animals, Noah found a bird called, chol, lying in the hold of the ark. "Don't you need to eat?" asked Noah. "I saw how troubled you are to feed all the animals, so I decided not to cause you any further trouble," answered the chol. Noah replied, "You empathize with my trouble! May you live forever!" Lesson: Even though a bird is not born with intelligence. the chol had the sensitivity to recognize Noah's great efforts to feed all the animals. Even more, his empathy for Noah, overcame the bird's natural desire to eat. Just as the chol was willing to sacrifice his life for Noah, in turn, Noah blessed him with eternal life. App: Reflect on the people in your life who show you kindness. Consider how they commit themselves and make sacrifices to help you. Acknowledge your appreciation to them for their kindness and bless them with heartfelt blessings. Just as you bless them for their kindness, HaShem will bless you with kindness, peace, and life. À  LUZ  DO  MUSSÁR

      

              

         Depois que o Todo-Poderoso completou o trabalho dos primeiros 5 dias da Criação, a Torá declara: "E D'us viu que era bom". Ao concluir o trabalho do sexto dia - no qual o ser humano foi criado - a Torá afirma: "E D'us contemplou tudo o que criou, e eis que estava muito bom". Qual é a qualidade exclusiva do ser humano que é algo "muito bom" em contraste com o resto do universo inteiro, que é simplesmente "bom" aos olhos do Criador?

       Antes de D'us criar o homem, o vasto e maravilhoso universo era como uma obra-prima sem ninguém para apreciá-la e para apreciar a bondade de seu Criador. O Todo-Poderoso criou, então, o homem com uma alma que tem a capacidade de reconhecer a bondade, o carinho e o poder Divino, bem como ao Criador Que lhe trouxe vida, propósito e existência.

A consciência por parte do homem da existência de D'us cumpriu o propósito primeiro da Criação - o reconhecimento, gratidão e apreço ao seu Criador e à Sua bondade. E isso foi algo "muito bom".

       Que possamos sempre nos esforçar para sermos gratos a todos os que nos beneficiam. Como resultado, continuamente nos elevaremos e nos tronaremos pessoas melhores e mais tranquilas!

Secrets of the Universe Onkelos, the nephew of the Roman emperor, converted to Judasim. When he told his uncle that he wanted to convert to Judaism, his uncle asked why he wanted to join such a despised nation? Onkelos responded, "A small Jewish child knows how HaShem created the world.
