SF - Beloved Is Man to HaShem

The journey is beautiful

"Rabbi Akiva said, 'Beloved is man to HaShem, for he was created in G-d's likeness. An additional dimension of HaShem's love for man is expressed through HaShem making known to man that he was created in His likeness, as it says, 'For in the likeness of G-d, He made man.'" (Pirkei Avos 3:18) While self-worth is elusive for many people, the Torah reveals the secret of authentic personal happiness. Attaining genuine self-worth rests on reflecting on three truths revealed in the Torah. First, is the revelation that HaShem, created man with the beautiful attributes of Divine goodness, that reflect the goodness of G-d, Himself. Secondly, our very attribute of goodness, that HaShem implanted within our souls, make us eternally beloved to HaShem. Thirdly, the fact that HaShem revealed to man that He created us in His likeness, uncovers an additional dimension of HaShem's love for man. The awareness of HaShem's wondrous love for man is the bedrock of our self-esteem. Nothing gives us true self-worth as much as knowing that HaShem loves us and values us for our inherent essence - the goodness of our souls. Envision receiving a text-message from HaShem expressing that He loves you because of your inherent goodness. Thank HaShem for creating you as a holy, Image of HaShem. Be inspired by knowing that you are so cherished and beloved to HaShem.  (Based on Ohr HaZafon) May the souls who left this world be remembered for a blessing. SF - HaShem Is My Light

The journey is beautiful

"Of David: HaShem is my light and my salvation, I will not fear; HaShem is the strength of my life, I will not be afraid" (Tehillim 27:1). The three primal fears of man are loss of intelligence, danger, and death. Despite his many trials and tribulations, King David was deeply tranquil. He perceived that he was never vulnerable because his wisdom, i.e., "my light," his protection, i.e., "my salvation,"and his very life, i.e., "my life," came directly to him from HaShem's kindness. King David's great clarity of HaShem's goodness to him, infused him with dynamic trust in HaShem. His great faith in HaShem effectively worked to master over all of his fears. King David teaches us how to overcome all three fears by revealing that HaShem oversees our intelligence, protection, and life. Repeat the verse, "Of David: HaShem is my light and my salvation, I will not fear; HaShem is the strength of my life, I will not be afraid". Strengthen your faith that HaShem actively grants you your intelligence, protection, and very life. Internalize and be inspired by the positive message of King David's insight -- and attain peace of mind. SF - Be For Me a Sheltering Rock

"Be for me a sheltering rock to which to come at all times; You commanded my redemption, for You are my rock and my fortress." (Tehilim 71:3) King David instilled three powerful pillars of faith within his heart. First, he prayed, "Be for me a sheltering rock." He asked HaShem to grant him protection from all of his enemies and trials. Then he expressed his full confidence and trust that HaShem will rescue him from all of his troubles, "You commanded my redemption." Lastly he reconfirmed his absolute trust in HaShem, "You are my rock and my fortress."  King David overcame all worry by continuously strengthening his three dimensions of faith in HaShem.   When a person places his faith and trust totally in HaShem he converts worry to joy, and HaShem blesses him with every manner of good. Strengthen your faith and trust in HaShem so that the boundless kindness of HaShem will surround you with constant blessings of goodness and tranquility.  May the souls who left this world be remembered for a blessing.
