SF - Blessings of Friendship

Lilui Nishmas R' Yochanon Mordecai ben Ephraim

Blessings of Friendship

Two people arrange to pray together at a certain holy place, like the Kosel HaMa'aravi or Kever Rachel. One of them finishes before his friend, but nevertheless, patiently waits for his friend until he also completes his prayers. The Torah greatly values the kindness of the one who waited for his friend. Indeed, HaShem blesses him with many amazing blessings: "he will have peace like a flowing river, his righteous acts will be numerous as the waves of the sea, his descendants will be as the grains of sand, and his name will be everlasting."

Lesson: The man who patiently stayed at his friend's side, showed great sensitivity to his companion and valued his prayers. HaShem grants phenomenal blessings to us when we act with nobility and respect for our fellow man.

App: Make every effort to support, assist, and care for your loved ones and friends -- and receive an endless stream of HaShem's finest blessings!

O Bote Salva-Vidas

Em Memória de Alter Yossef ben Shmuel, Hanne Bruche bat Hazel, Samuele ben Yossef, Samuel ben Avraham, Regina bat Alter, Aranka bat Shmuel Biniamin e Lea bat Michael Z"L

A LUZ DO MUSSAR

SF - No Worries

No Worries

A person who sincerely trusts in HaShem never worries, as the verse says (Yermiyahu 17): "Blessed is the person who trusts in HaShem, and HaShem is his security. He is like a  tree planted by the waterside that spreads its roots into the stream." Just as a tree planted by the waterside never worries for lack of water, so too, a person who trust in HaShem never worries because he connects himself to the Source of Good.

Lesson: A person who has perfect trust in HaShem never fears any setback or downfall, as the verse says (Ishaiah 12): "I will trust and I will not be afraid."

App: Release yourself from all worry by placing your heartfelt trust in HaShem and enjoy His unbounded and ever-present blessings, protection, forgiveness, and loving kindness!

SF - Give Thanks to HaShem!

Give thanks to HaShem for He is good, for His kindness is everlasting!

HaShem has made a Clear and Open Miracle in our times!  Baruch HaShem, after eight weeks, Chaya Raizel bas Dena awakened from her coma. Due to her initial illness, Chaya Raizel suffered oxygen deprivation. The advanced medical tests showed no brain activity. No one has ever recovered their normal cognitive faculties from such a state. Yet, last Thursday morning, Chaya Raizei woke up from her coma and engaged in normative conversation with her family!

This miracle demonstrates that HaShem listens to and answers our prayers, even in a seemingly impossible situation. Many thousands of people prayed, as well as did Teshuvah and acts of Chesed, for Chaya Raizel. HaShem in His great mercy, heard our prayers and responded with an awesome and unprecedented miracle!

Thank you for your heartfelt prayers!

Lesson: Never despair! Keep on praying for yourself, your friends, and the Geulah -- The salvation of HaShem comes as quickly as a wink of an eye!

Formulando Perguntas Inteligentes

Em Memória de Alter Yossef ben Shmuel, Hanne Bruche bat Hazel, Samuele ben Yossef, Samuel ben Avraham, Regina bat Alter, Aranka bat Shmuel Biniamin e Lea bat Michael Z"L

A LUZ DO MUSSAR

SF - The Wisdom of Peace

Chaya Raizel bas Dena needs our prayers for Refuah Shleimah! She is 31 and a mother of  3 year old twins. Click Here for Tehillim Link

The Wisdom of Peace

A few of the tribes -- Gad, Reuven, and Menashe -- requested to settle in grazing lands right over the border of Israel. Moshe granted their request on the condition that they join their brethren in the war to conquer Israel. However, it is surprising that Moshe did not admonish them for choosing to live outside of the Holy Land! It is especially hard to understand, in light of Moshe's great love and yearning for Eretz Yisrael. The answer is that Moshe sensed if he denied their request to settle in the fertile grazing lands, they would start to dispute with Moshe. Therefore, in the name of peace, Moshe acquiesced to their request, even though it was an improper choice.

Lesson: It takes great wisdom and restraint to keep silent, in order to avoid conflict and dissension -- and keep the peace.
(Based on the commentary of the Seforno to the Torah)
