"Rabi Akiva costumava dizer: 'Querido é o homem, pois foi criado à imagem de D'us'; e foi um carinho ainda maior de D'us o fato de informá-lo de que foi criado à Sua imagem, conforme está escrito: 'Pois à imagem de D'us Ele fez o homem (Bereshit 9:6)' (3:18)"

 

 

       Poderíamos supor que, por causa da humildade, seria melhor manter as boas ações que fazemos em segredo. Todavia, embora possa haver alguns casos em que a humildade engrandece o ato, em geral é melhor informar o beneficiário da bondade que foi feita com ele.

       Quando uma pessoa informa a outra do favor que lhe fez, o amor e o companheirismo aumentam e se intensificam entre elas. Mesmo que a Torá louve e incentive a humildade como uma virtude suprema, ainda assim esta grande característica cede espaço para que haja uma valorização e aumento do amor e bondade no mundo!

       A esta luz, ao invés de manter a grande dádiva de que o homem foi criado à imagem espiritual de D'us como um dos grandes segredos do universo, o Todo-Poderoso revelou à humanidade que Ele nos criou à Sua imagem.

       O propósito desta revelação foi aumentar a nossa consciência do amor fenomenal e do carinho que o Todo-Poderoso tem por cada ser humano.

       Que possamos refletir sobre o grande amor do Todo-Poderoso por nós e, de modo recíproco, aumentar o nosso amor por Ele. Além disso, não nos esqueçamos de informar as pessoas a quem fizemos algum benefício - de modo a aumentar a fraternidade e amizade entre nós e toda a humanidade.

The Boundless Value of Torah There was once a man who was an expert of real-estate evaluation. He would look at a lot and know its value and how much it would cost to build a house on the property. He could estimate the real-estate value of the entire city. He could even calculate the real-estate value of the entire country. Once, someone asked him, "What is the worth of the sunlight?" He responded, "We can only put a value on something that has a limit of its worth. However, the light of the sun makes life possible. Therefore, since it's value is boundless, it is priceless."  Lesson: If the value of the sunlight is priceless, how much more is this true of the spiritual light of the Torah. The whole world only exists and was created for the sake of Torah learning and its fulfillment. Therefore, the Torah is infinitely worthy and far more valuable than all of the gold and silver in the world. Healing and Redemption

The Triumph of Israel The Torah tells us that Yaacov was confronted by an angel who was Esav's spiritual counterpart. Yaacov clung tenaciously to HaShem and prevailed. However, in the midst of the struggle, the angel injured Yaacov. The injury that Yaacov sustained signifies that the descendants of Yaacov will be endangered in each generation. Subsequently, the angel blessed Yaacov, "No longer will it be said that your name is Yaacov, but Yisrael will be your name, for you have battled with an angel and with man and have overcome" (Bereishis 32:29). Lesson: The incident of Yaacov and the angel conveys the message that no matter how times we are endangered, we will triumph, just as Yaacov did. Moreover, the blessings and healing that Yaacov received signify the great light that will shine upon us at the time of our redemption -- when the dominance of Israel will permanently endure. À  LUZ  DO  MUSSÁR

      

     

       

       O Rei Salomão escreveu em seu livro Provérbios (Mishlei): "À luz do rosto do rei está a vida".

 

       Quando uma pessoa vê um amigo favorito ou parente querido, ela sorri com alegria. Assim, também, o versículo "à luz do rosto do rei" faz alusão à alegria e ao interesse que o Todo-Poderoso tem por Klal Israel. É confortador saber -- e verdadeiramente surpreendente -- que o Criador "sorri" para nós constantemente. De fato, a nossa própria vida irradia luz como consequência do  constante "sorriso" do Todo-Poderoso!

 

       Nada é tão belo como um sorriso. Ele transmite uma magnífica mensagem de alegria e aceitação. Um sorriso tem o poder de colocar nossos amigos e parentes de bom humor, infunde-os com otimismo e preenche seus corações com a alegria de serem amados. 

 

       Distribuamos o nosso sorriso durante todo o dia. Saudemos as pessoas com o nosso melhor sorriso -- e os presenteemos com vida!
