SF - Transform Trouble Into Triumph \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

“When I call, answer me, my G-d, the righteousness of my distress, You set me free, and are gracious to me and heard my prayer” (Tehillim 4:2).

King David, may peace be upon him, revealed to us the method of how to pray to HaShem in a time of hardship. The instinctual reaction is to complain to HaShem, “Why is this happening to me”? King David advises us to do the opposite! We pray to HaShem, “my G-d, the righteousness of my distress.” We acknowledge that the troubles we find are rooted in Divine justice, and we express, “HaShem you are just in all of your ways.” Afterwards, we pray to HaShem to show us compassion and save us from our predicament. On this merit, “You set me free, and are gracious to me and heard my prayer.”

King David testified that whenever he suffered in life and called out, “Answer me, my G-d, the righteousness of my distress,” immediately, “You set me free, and are gracious to me and heard my prayer.”

Num Piscar de Olhos!

SF - In A Blink of an Eye \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

"The deliverance of HaShem comes as quickly as a blink of the eye." Like an awe-inspiring flash of lightening, Hashem's redemption comes suddenly and illuminates the darkness. Instantaneously, it brings enlightenment, freedom, and joy. During the Egyptian exile Klal Yisrael fell into bondage and descended into the lowest level of spiritual impurity. After centuries of oppression, there was no sign of the Jewish people's impending delivery from the clutches of Pharaoh and his taskmasters. Nevertheless, precisely when the situation was most bleak, Hashem redeemed Klal Yisrael in the "blink of an eye."

Just as Hashem redeemed Klal Yisrael from the very depths of darkness in an instant, so too, we need to trust steadfastly that from amidst the darkness of our long exile, Hashem will soon reveal the light of the final redemption. As it states in Tehillim, "Redeem us Hashem as quickly as the flash floods that surge in the Negev," such will be the swiftness of our redemption.

Reflect upon the miracles that Hashem performed for Klal Yisrael at the time of the Exodus: The Ten Plagues, the splitting of the Red Sea, the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai, and the provision of the Manna in the desert. Be inspired to trust in Hashem absolutely, and believe that at the moment of redemption, He will instantaneously reveal His light and redeem Klal Yisrael for all time!

SF - Where Trust Begins \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

"A man went from the house of Levi and took a daughter of Levi" (Shemot 2:1). Pharaoh decreed that every Jewish boy that is born be cast into the Nile River. In response, Amram separated from his wife to avoid the inevitable infanticide. In response, Amram's daughter said to her father, "Pharaoh only decreed against the boys. Your decree is worse for you decreed also against the girls." Miriam's bold words hit their mark. Amram realised that trust in HaShem always supersedes the "facts on the ground" as seen by the human intellect. Amram reunited with his wife, Yocheved. As a result, Moshe Rabenu -- the redeemer of Israel -- was born.

The place where our intellect comes to an end is where trust and faith in HaShem begin.

Chant the verse, "Trust in HaShem withl all of your heart and do not rely upon your intellect" (Mishlei 3:5). No matter how hopeless the situation seems to be, never give up hope in HaShem. Disconnect from your intellect, which cannot see any solution. Trust and pray to HaShem to show you mercy, and rejoice in HaShem's deliverance.
