SF - A Psalm of King David

The journey is beautiful

"A praise of David: I will praise my G-d, the King, and I will bless Your Name forever and ever." (Tehillim 145) All of the creations are in absolute need of their daily sustenance for their survival. The Ashrei Psalm contains the secrets of Divine blessings and abundance. Even more, the Psalm reveals the infinite dimensions of Divine compassion and kindness. Whoever recites this beautiful Psalm with thoughtfulness and heartfelt sincerity will never lack his sustenance. It is the only Psalm that begins with the words -- "A praise" -- because there is no greater good in this world than the constant flow of HaShem's life-giving blessings of abundant sustenance. It is fitting and pleasant to praise HaShem, the "Source of All Good," Who provides sustenance for all of His creations, with kindness and compassion. Envision the Mannah which materialized for every member of Klal Yisrael each morning in the barren desert. See that there is a sufficient supply for the milliions of members of Klal Yisrael. Imagine yourself gathering the Mannah for your entire family, with very little effort. Reflect on HaShem's kindness and compassion in sending your "daily bread." Be inspired and praise HaShem with a joyful heart! May the souls who left this world be remembered for a blessing. SF - Flourish Like a Palm Tree

The journey is beautiful

When HaShem revealed Himself on Mount Sinai, twenty-four thousand angels accompanied Him. When Klal Yisrael saw the angels they said, 'We wish that we could also have such closeness to HaShem!' HaShem responded, 'Since you desire to be like the angels, I will grant your request.' Immediately, HaShem revealed His love to Klal Yisrael, and said to Moshe, 'Place them in formations around Me.' The Torah alludes to this, 'He brought me into the banquet hall and clustered my encampments around Him in love" (Shir HaShirim 2:4).  The secret of spiritual growth is our desire to be close to HaShem. When Klal Yisrael desired to be close to HaShem, HaShem opened the gates of love for them to experience and enjoy new levels of closeness to HaShem.  Awaken your heart to come close to HaShem -- His goodness, light, holiness, and joy. In turn, HaShem will draw you close to Him and welcome you into His exalted Presence. Strive to join the lofty heights of the angels, and you will "flourish like a palm tree in the courtyard of HaShem."
