SF - Trust In HaShem!

"Trust in HaShem with all your heart and do not rely on your wit." (Mishlie 3:5)

The joy of trust in HaShem occurs when we fully trust HaShem with all of our heart, with no doubts, whatsoever. There are two distinct advantages to total trust in HaShem. Firstly, we enjoy peace of mind because we are positive that HaShem will help us. Secondly, even if we are lacking something, we will not be distressed because we trust that HaShem will provide. Indeed our unwavering trust will ultimately result in HaShem's sweetest blessings, redemption, and success.

HaShem, the Creator of Heaven and earth, is the Source of life and the Root of all success. Therefore, when we place our heartfelt trust in HaShem, it is certain He will ultimately grant us all of our needs.

Strengthen your trust in HaShem a little more each day by reviewing the verse, "Trust in HaShem with all your heart." Increase your joy of life because whoever has trust in HaShem, has everything!

SF - The Shechinah in Your Home!

״שאו את ראש כל עדת בני ישראל״

“Take a census of the entire assembly of the Children of Israel” (Bamidbar 1:2).

The Midrash comments on the above verse, “HaKodesh Baruch Hu says to Klal Yisrael, ‘I have never loved any creation more than I love you. I therefore elevated you and likened you to Me, for just as I am elevated above all mankind, so too, have I elevated you’” (Bamidbar Rabbah 1:9).

When HaShem counts the population of the Jewish nation, it is not only to count the amount of souls — the census is an expression of His love for us. What’s more, as HaShem counts them, He elevates His people and draws them close to Him.

HaShem’s love for us is so magnificent that He counts us continuously, just as one’s eyes never leave his precious treasure. Each time He sees us, His love grows even stronger, and He elevates us so that we can be near to Him.

HaShem’s relationship to Klal Yisrael is like a father who loves his son so dearly that he frequently speaks of him. Whenever he mentions his son’s name, he also expresses how much he favours his son. For instance, he says, “My Yaacov, who wrote me a letter” or “My Avraham, who is doing so well in school.”

Moreover, HaShem instructed Moshe to personally go to each tent and count how many souls were in each family. As Moshe stood at the entrance of each household, the Shechinah entered the tent. Soon a Bat Kol announced the number of souls found within.

Could there be a sweeter image of HaShem’s closeness to us? HaShem enters our homes, just as one visits his friend. He loves us so much that He desires to come into our very midst. Envision the Shechinah coming into your home and blessing your family.

Happy is the people who is so beloved to HaShem!

SF - The Benefit of a Broken Heart

The Zohar says, "When a person longs to come close to HaShem, HaShem draws him close to Him." Moshe Rabenu personified this ideal. After the Mishkan was completed, Moshe Rabenu was in a great spiritual conflict. On one hand, he feared to enter the Mishkan because it was filled with the Glory of HaShem. On the other hand, Moshe wanted nothing more than to enter the Mishkan. Consequently, he stood outside the Mishkan and longed with a broken heart to come close to HaShem. The very pain of being separated from the holy Shechinah, was the merit that awakened HaShem to invite Moshe into the Mishkan, "And He called to Moshe" (Vayikra 1:1).

There is nothing that awakens HaShem's compassion as much as a broken heart. When we cry out to HaShem with a broken heart, HaShem will immediately answer our prayers and bring us close to Him.

Reflect on the teaching, "When a person longs to come close to HaShem, HaShem draws him close to Him." Find the place deep in your heart that is crying out to come close to HaShem. Cry out to HaShem from the depths of your heart, express your pain and longing to come close to Him. Trust in HaShem that He will compassionately hear your prayer, and draw you close to Him.
