‌ A Good Heart "Rabbi Elazar ben Arach said that a 'good heart is the good path' that one should follow." (Pirkei Avot 2:1) A 'good heart' refers to the trait of patience -- one who is even-tempered so that he always speaks gently. Even if others annoy him, he never speaks negatively. All of his words are sweet and pleasant. The attribute of a good heart encompasses all the good virtues. Therefore, one who has a good heart has patience, generosity, and is a good friend and neighbor. Elevate yourself and your deeds by awakening all the precious traits that radiate from 'a good heart.' Essentially a good heart is love -- the root of all good character traits.
