"The blessing of HaShem makes one wealthy, and the wealth will come without anxiety" (Mishlei 10:22). Neither hard work nor sharp business skills alone bring wealth to a person. The only cause of wealth is the blessing of HaShem. Even more, when a person enjoy's wealth from the blessing of HaShem, he will be free of worry over monetary matters. The blessing of wealth that comes with ease and serenity is the blessing that HaShem bestows upon the righteous. The righteous person has the correct attitude towards money. The prospect of wealth does not overexcite him. On the other hand, if his finances are diminished he does not become distraught. He realizes that if HaShem will bless him, he will regain his wealth with little effort. Conversely, if HaShem will not bless him, his schemes will be to no avail.
The righteous person is satisfied -- and happy -- with whatever portion HaShem sends him. He is content because he knows that if HaShem blesses him with wealth, the blessing of wealth will not cause him any anxiety.
