בס״ד📜 "If you have studied much Torah, do not take credit for yourself, for it is for this purpose that you were created." (Pirkei Avot 2:9)
🌲 The Parable of the Archer🦁 A man walking through a dense forest suddenly encountered a roaring lion. Unarmed and desperate, he raised his wooden walking stick, aimed it like a bow, and mimed releasing an arrow.
🏹 Unbeknownst to him, an expert archer was perched in a nearby tree. At that exact moment, the archer loosed a real arrow, striking the beast dead.
🪄 Overjoyed, the traveler began kissing his stick, praising its magical power.
🗣️ The archer called down from above: "Don’t be foolish! Your stick did nothing. It was my arrow that saved your life!"
💡 The Deeper Meaning✨ When we perform a mitzvah or immerse ourselves in Torah study, it is tempting to believe we achieved holiness through our own prowess.
🎁 In truth, holiness is not self-generated—it is a Divine gift bestowed from above. Just as we recite, "Who sanctifies us with His commandments," it is HaShem who infuses our minds and souls with wisdom.
🕊️ The walking stick did not save the traveler, and our intellect alone does not generate light. We are simply vessels; the arrow of truth belongs to the Creator.
🌿 Daily Reflection🌱 As you learn today, imagine HaShem gently placing holiness into your soul. Shift from pride to pure gratitude—open yourself to receive His light with awe and humility.
