SF - Blessings of Love

Blessings of Love The Torah instructs the Kohanim to bless Klal Yisrael with love. In general, Klal Yisrael are commanded to love each other. Why is it necessary for the Kohanim to have a special commandment to feel love towards Klal Yisrael when they bless the people? Love is a wellspring that flows with blessings! Since it is the Kohan' s task to bless the people, they need to have an extra dimension of love for Klal Yisrael. The precious love in the heart of the Kohanim awakens HaShem's sweetest and choicest blessings to rest upon His beloved People. O Rei David escreveu nos Salmos (8:2): "Todo-Poderoso, nosso D'us, quão poderoso é o Seu nome sobre toda a Terra; O senhor coloca Sua glória sobre os céus."

 

Os ministros reais estavam retornando ao palácio com uma coroa gloriosa que foi encomendada e preparada para a coroação do novo rei. A elegante coroa resplandecia com ouro e diamantes. Quando se aproximavam dos portões da cidade, eles viram alguns camponeses que lavravam o campo.

Os ministros mostraram a coroa aos camponeses, que ficaram impressionados com sua beleza. Então um dos ministros perguntou aos camponeses se trocariam seu arado pela coroa.

"A coroa é linda, mas se trocamos os nossos arados não teremos como cultivar a terra", afirmou um dos camponeses.

"Você não está pensando com clareza", disse o ministro. "Se possuísse esta coroa, poderia vendê-la por milhões de dólares. Aí poderia comprar todos esses campos e contratar seus próprios trabalhadores!"

A coroa na história representa a nossa preciosa e inestimável Torá. Vale à pena "trocarmos" um pouco de nosso tempo durante o dia pela preciosa dádiva do estudo da Torá. O crescimento pessoal e os benefícios eternos que receberemos da Torá valem muito mais do que todo o ouro, dinheiro e pedras preciosas do mundo!

SF - The Awakening of Love

The Awakening of Love Is love awakened by the one who loves or by the beloved? Does  a mother's love for her baby start in her heart or is her love sparked by the preciousness of her infant?  Regarding HaShem's love for Klal Yisrael our Sages teach: "Since the belovedness of Klal Yisrael is always close to HaShem's heart, He counts them regularly." Amazingly, it is the "belovedness of Klal Yisrael" that awakens HaShem's incomparable love for us! Lesson: Klal Yisrael is inherently precious and dear to HaShem, sparking His powerful love and compassion for us. He continuously counts us because each and every one of us are intensely beloved to Him. Visualization: Envision a mother holding her newborn baby in her arms. As she looks at her beautiful child, her heart blossoms with new waves of love. Reflect on the fact that you are the beloved child of  HaShem. "A população dos Filhos de Israel será como a areia do mar, que não pode ser medida nem contada (Profeta Oséias 2:1)"

 

 

       O Talmud (Yoma 22b) pergunta: A primeira parte do versículo acima afirma que o número de judeus será igual ao número de grãos de areia do mar. Portanto, embora gigantesco, ainda assim será um número finito, como as areias do mar.

       Por outro lado, a segunda parte afirma que "não poderão ser contados" - sugerindo que o número dos filhos de Israel será infinito. Parece, então, que o versículo contradiz a si próprio em relação à quantidade de Klal Israel, se poderão ou não ser contados.

       O Ktav Sofer, Rabino Avraham Biniamin Sofer (Hungria, 1815-1871), oferece uma resolução perspicaz para esta pergunta. Ele explica que a vastidão e a profundeza infinitas da Torá torna impossível para um indivíduo poder cumpri-la. Na verdade, o cumprimento integral da Torá requer a participação de todos os membros do Povo de Israel. Cada alma deve contribuir com sua parcela única de Torá. Somente quando todas as porções da Torá de cada alma judia estiverem unidas é que a Torá se revelará por inteiro.

       Com esse ensinamento podemos entender que Shavuot não é um concurso para ver quem aprende o máximo de conhecimento de Torá individualmente. Pelo contrário, é um dia sagrado para nós, para nos unirmos e coletivamente absorvermos a sagrada Torá do Todo-Poderoso.

Believe that HaShem loves you unconditionally -- and attain tranquility! SF - The Beauty of Prayer

The Beauty of Prayer Rabbi Shimon said: When you pray do not make your prayer "set." Rather pray for mercy and supplicate before HaShem, as it says: "For You are gracious and merciful, patient, and abundant in kindness." In light of this, King David said (Psalms 52:10): "I am like a fresh olive tree in the House of HaShem; I trust in the kindness of HaShem forever and ever." That is, just as an olive tree keeps fresh leaves throughout the entire year, so too, King David prayer was always "fresh" because he relied solely on the infinite kindness of HaShem. Lesson: When we pray to HaShem we recognize His amazing kindness, as per the prayer, "He is good for His mercy never stops; and He is merciful for His kindness never ceases."      App: When you pray rely totally on HaShem's goodness, kindness and mercy -- and rejoice in His unabated and wondrous love.
