SF - The Secret of Wealth \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

There was once a ladder with ten rungs. Even though each rung was exactly the same size, the top rung felt that it was superior to all the rungs below it. Looking down with arrogance at the lower rungs, the top rung called out, "I have been chosen to stand above you. Therefore, I am the greatest and most important rung of all!" At that moment a passerby heard the boasting of the top rung. He reached out and turned the ladder around. The bottom rung felt itself flying to the top, while the top rung found itself falling to the lowest point. When the arrogant rung saw its downfall it regretted its conceit. The lower rung, which was now perched on top, was very careful not to entertain any feelings of pride, so as not to suffer the fate of the prideful rung.

The ladder in this parable alludes to the dynamics of wealth. From our earthly perspective, it seems money comes to our hands through our own efforts. In truth, every penny that comes to our hands is decreed from Heaven. HaShem, alone, decides who will be rich and who will be poor.

If you are wealthy, remind yourself that it is HaShem Who blessed you with prosperity. By reflecting on this truth, you will maintain a sense of humility and retain your wealth. If you not wealthy, reflect on the fact that it is the decree of HaShem that determines your financial status.

Vencendo os Desafios!

SF - Supernatural Strength \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

"And Yaacov lived in Egypt for seventeen years" (Bereishis 47:28). The powerful famine prevailed on Yaacov Avinu, forcing him to take his family out of Eretz Yisrael. Nevertheless, as Yaacov journeyed to Egypt, he feared that the pervasive impurity of Egypt would contaminate the holy souls of his family. He was concerned that if his descendants lost their spiritual vitality, they would not have the spiritual resilience to extract themselves from Egypt. Therefore, HaShem promised Yaacov, "I will descend with you to Egypt and I shall surely bring you up." Meaning, the Shechinah would accompany Yaacov Avinu to Egypt. The holy Shechinah would empower the "seventy souls" of Yaacov"s family with the spiritual strength and vibrancy needed to emerge from Egypt, whole and intact. Even more, the "seventy souls" of Yaacov's family held the power to sanctify the "seventy nations" of the world!

The holy Shechinah fortifies Klal Yisrael, the offspring of the "seventy souls," with supernatural strength to maintain their spiritual balance in every situation and environment. In addition, we -- the Jewish People -- have the power to uplift and illuminate all of mankind with the light of HaShem.

Envision the "seventy souls" of Yaacov's family. Just as the Shechinah shines upon them, and gives them spiritual integrity, so too, the holy Shechinah shines upon us and surrounds us with all of its countless blessings. Sense the dynamic power of the "seventy souls" that radiates in your soul and have the awareness of being a "light unto the nations."

SF - The Spark of Holiness Within Every Challenge

"And Yehudah approached him and said, 'HaShem is with me'" (Breisheit).

A spark of holiness is found within every hardship. HaShem kindles that spark of holiness but remains hidden within “the robes of the hardship.” When we encounter trouble it is a test of faith. If we sincerely believe that HaShem is present within the challenge, HaShem will reveal Himself and the hardship will disappear.

This profound insight sheds light on the opening verse of this week’s Torah reading cited above. Yoseph orchestrates the heartbreaking drama and threatens to enslave Benyamin, the beloved son of Yaacov Avinu. Yehudah, rising to the occasion, strengthens his trust that HaShem is present in this terrible adversity. He calls out, “HaShem is with me!” Almost immediately, HaShem moves Yoseph’s heart to reveal himself to his brothers, and the high tension transforms into reconciliation, joy, and peace.

When you encounter “life challenges,” hold your faith that HaShem is with you. Pray to HaShem and He will rescue you from your dire straits. HaShem will convert your darkness to light, your sadness to joy, and your anguish to peace of mind!

SF - The Graciousness of Yoseph \ Podcast - Channeling Energy Into Creativity

The Graciousness of Yoseph \ Parashat Vayigash

"And now it was not you that sent me here, rather it was HaShem; and He made me a father to Pharaoh, the master of his entire household, and the ruler over all the land of Egypt" (Bereishis 45:8). The fact that Yoseph attained such greatness after descending to Egypt, was a clear sign that HaShem orchestrated all these events. Indeed, Yoseph's rise from slave to king was consistent with the principle, "Everything that HaShem does is for the good." His brothers could not take any credit for Yoseph's emergence as the king of Egypt because their intention in selling him was to diminish him. Nevertheless, Yoseph consoled his brothers so that they should not castigate themselves for selling him. He expressed to them that the fact that things turned out so well for him revealed that they were righteous men, as our Sages taught, "A good thing is brought about by a meritorious person."

Yoseph demonstrated the highest level of goodness by converting his brothers intention to harm him into the very cause of his success.

Envision Yoseph avoiding all rebuke to his brothers for selling him into slavery. Imagine Yoseph assuring them that they were responsible for his rise to greatness. Sense the tremendous relief that Yoseph's brothers experience upon receiving Yoseph's gracious words. Stay focused on HaShem's guiding hand in the events of your life and perceive the positive outcomes that emerge from your interpersonal relationships.
