SF - The Incomparable Merit of Kindness

The Incomparable Merit of Kindness

"HaShem remembers acts of kindness for two thousand generations"
(Shemos 34).

HaShem intensely loves the acts of kindness that we perform for each other. Amazingly, when we act with kindness, HaShem is moved with such love and compassion for us, that He rewards our good deed for two thousand generations. HaShem created the world and sustains the countless creations, with pure kindness. So too, He loves nothing as much as seeing His creations emulating Him and acting with kindness.

Lesson: An act of kindness is a selfless act, inspired by sensitivity and care  for others. An act of kindness performed by man upon this earth, awakens for him the most powerful merit in Heaven. Perform acts of kindness and reap the benefit and blessings for countless years.

Visualization: Envision Avraham Avinu welcoming travelers into his tent with graciousness and joy. See him serving his guests a sumptuous meal and honoring them as if they were kings. Reflect on the fact that the merit of Avraham's kindness caused the very existence of Klal Yisrael, the Exodus from Egypt, inheriting the Land of Israel, and will cause the final redemption.
(Based on the commentary of Rashi to the Torah)
