D'var Torah: HaShem created all of His creations in a state of incompleteness. In His infinite wisdom HaShem set up the universe in a way that the earthly beings must hope to HaShem to receive their blessings of completeness. Their reliance on HaShem's healing awakens fear because there is always the chance that HaShem may not grant them their required blessings. Yet, the more we understand HaShem's infinite kindness and compassion, the more our fear will give way to pure hope and faith. Just as a baby nurses from his mother with total confidence that his mother will fully sustain him, so too, we hope and trust in HaShem with total confidence that He will grant us the living blessings of spiritual development, holiness, and perfection.
Moral: Man shares in the process of his own perfection by placing his full hope and trust in the kindness and compassion of HaShem.
Application: Envision the moon receiving its light from the sun. Reflect on HaShem's unbounded love and infinite compassion. Transform all of your fears into faith and hope that HaShem will repair your flaws and imperfections. Connect to HaShem and receive His blessings, healings, and light -- and become spiritual whole and complete.
