D'var Torah: "Klal Yisrael is Beloved to HaShem" (Michah 7).The Prophet Michah reveals a wondrous secret. HaShem loves Klal Yisrael with the unbounded love of a close family relative! HaShem's love flows upon us like a fountain of endless love, for we are the soul-mate of HaShem. Even more, HaShem calls out to us, expressing infinite depths of affection. "My daughter! My Sister! My Mother!" He loves us with the combined aspect of every close relationship. HaShem's unbounded love embraces the Jewish People collectively and extends to every individual member of Klal Yisrael. He loves us so much that He cannot bear our suffering, just as a parent cannot endure his child's pain.
Lesson: HaShem's wondrous love for Klal Yisrael inspires us to instill unconditional love in our hearts for every fellow Jew.
Application: Reflect on the miracle of HaShem's wondrous love for Klal Yisrael. Imagine HaShem saying to you, "I love you as if you are My only child." Rejoice in knowing that HaShem loves you and cares about you.
