SF - The Circle of Kindness

D'var Torah: "And Yitzchak went out to pray in the field, and he raised his eyes, and he saw, and behold, camels were coming" (Bereishis 24:62). After Sara's demise, Yitzchak went to the Negev to bring Hagar back as a wife for Avraham. Many years before, Hagar had been banished from Avraham's house. Not only did Yitzchak intend to perform an act of kindness for his father, but Yitzchak also intended to relieve the pain of Hagar's banishment. Just as Yitzchak acted with compassion here on earth, so too, the compassion of Heaven awakened on his behalf. At the very time, he performed this good deed and prayed in the field for HaShem's compassion, Rivka, his soul-mate, arrived on camelback.

Yitzchak's great kindness to reunite Avraham and Hagar, awakened HaShem's kindness to flow upon him. So too, when we act kindly to others, HaShem showers His kindness upon us.

Envision Yitzchak's heart awakening with great kindness to help reunite his widowed father and Hagar. See him travel across the desert to find Hagar. Always act kindly to others, and be assured that HaShem will shower His kindness and compassion upon you.
