"And He called to Moshe" (Vayikra 1:1).
The word "called' expresses love!
Hashem's love for Moshe Rabenu was deep and intense.
HaShem initiated all of His communications to Moshe with love and gentleness. Amazingly, HaShem selected the virtue of love as the essential trait to bond with Moshe Rabenu and all of Klal Yisrael.
"Called with love" is also the language of the angels, "And this angel called lovingly to another angel." The angels love each other and speak to each other lovingly and respectfully
Moshe was Klal Yisrael's leader and our representative to listen to HaShem's commandments. We vicariously receive HaShem's love through our relationship with Moshe Rabenu. Just as HaShem spoke lovingly to Moshe Rabenu, so too, HaShem speaks lovingly to all of Klal Yisrael.
HaShem introduces all of His commandments with the language of "Called with love." Therefore, HaShem's love for us sets the tone for our connection to the entire Torah. Moreover, it establishes love as the basis of our relationship with HaShem.
When we contemplate on HaShem, learn Torah, fulfill the Mitzot, and pray, it is appropriate for us to focus on HaShem's incredible love for us. Open your heart and receive HaShem's love, and rejoice in knowing that HaShem loves you with infinite dimensions of love and care.
Speak lovingly to your family members, friends, neighbors, and associates. Build the world with love for you, HaShem, and all Klal Yisrael.
