The Ultimate Reality: Beyond the Veil of Nature

The pinnacle of our prayer service is the recitation of the prophetic verse, "Holy, holy, holy is HaShem; the entire world is filled with His glory." The threefold repetition of "Holy" teaches us that HaShem’s holiness is not detached; rather, it permeates and constitutes the very essence of creation.

While the physical world acts as a veil obscuring the Divine Presence, the reality is that HaShem established His sovereignty over all existence. Therefore, the spiritual dimension—His absolute holiness—is actively present within everything. When we praise His holiness, we are not merely identifying a divine attribute; we are testifying to a tangible reality: all life continuously emanates from HaShem.

The Illusion of Natural Limitations

Because HaShem’s holiness is the source of all creation, the laws of nature are entirely subordinate to the Divine Will. Material boundaries and physical limitations are an illusion. Just as HaShem openly overturned the laws of nature during the Exodus from Egypt, His rule completely supersedes every physical entity today.

This profound concept sheds light on the tragic episode where HaShem commanded Moshe to "speak to the rock" to bring forth water for the nation. Instead of speaking, Moshe struck the rock with his staff. Although the water still flowed, HaShem held Moshe accountable for failing to sanctify His Name.

The next time you encounter a physical limitation today, pause and tell yourself: "This boundary is a veil. The true essence of this situation is HaShem's holiness, and His Will has no limitations."
