SF - The Power of Prayer

L'illui Nishmas Shlomo ben Rafael ha Levi- Solomon Levy,
dedicated by June Silny

The Power of Prayer

After 150 days of the flood, HaShem had mercy on Noach, and ordered the waters to recede, as the Torah states, "Elokim remembered Noach." Yet Elokim is the name of G-d that signifies Divine judgment. Why does the verse mention the attribute of judgment at the time when HaShem's compassion was awakened? The Torah is revealing that the prayers of Noach converted judgment into Divine mercy.

Lesson:  The tzadik knows that even at the time of Divine judgment, the true essence of HaShem is mercy. Through his sincere prayers, the judgment reverses to mercy, the true essence of HaShem

App: Say one chapter of Tehillim and have in mind that your prayers awaken mercy for Klal Yisrael.
