SF - Experience the Delight of Your Soul \ Parashat Toldot

Experience the Delight of Your Soul \ Parashat Toldot

D'var Torah: "The fragrance of my son is like the fragrance of the field which HaShem had blessed."The pleasant fragrance of the field was upon Yaacov's clothing when he came into Yitzchak's tent to receive his blessings. Yitzchak said, "See my son, not only does HaShem provide vegetation to nourish His creatures, He also gives the herbs a sweet scent in order to give delight to our souls." Why did Yitzchak point out this wonder of HaShem at the time of blessing his son? Before blessing his son, Yitzchak consciously uplifted his soul by recognizing the unbounded goodness of HaShem. The joy that Yitzchak experienced intensified the power of his blessings that flowed from his heart when he blessed Yaacov, his beloved son.

Moral: The wondrous goodness of HaShem surrounds us and is found in the simplest pleasures of life. The sweet fragrance of the field has the power to awaken our souls and give us a taste of Gan Eden.

Application: Envision Yitzchak, our holy ancestor, one hundred and twenty-three years old and blind, waiting to bless his son before he dies. As Yaacov comes close to his father,  Yitzchak notices the sweet fragrance of the field that accompanies his son. Yitzchak's heart fills with joy, and he blesses his son with great  delight in HaShem. Follow the way of Yitzchak, and constantly delight in the wondrous kindness of HaShem, that continuously surrounds you.

O Segredo para o Sucesso

Em Memória de Alter Yossef ben Shmuel, Hanne Bruche bat Yaacov, Samuele ben Yossef, Samuel ben Avraham, Regina bat Alter, Braindel bat Shmuel Biniamin, Lea bat Michael  e Ester Sandra bat Avraham Z"L

Sabedoria para o Crescimento Pessoal

À  LUZ  DO  MUSSÁR

Desta maneira seremos sempre benquistos e receberemos Suas bênçãos ilimitadas!

Shabat Shalom a Todos!

SF - A Healing Tongue is a Tree of Life \ Parashat Chayei Sarah

A Healing Tongue is a Tree of Life \ Parashat Chayei Sarah

D'var Torah: After Akeidas Yitzchak, a messenger came to tell Sarah the good news -- that her son Yitzchak was alive. First, he explained to her that HaShem had asked Avraham to offer Yitzchak as a sacrifice. Then he told her that ultimately Avraham had not sacrificed him and Yitzchak was very much alive. However, by the time the good news had a chance to take effect, the impact and shock of the initial words caused her demise. Had the messenger first assured Sarah that Yitzchak was alive, this calamity would not have occurred. Despite his good intentions, his lack of sensitivity caused Sarah's death.

Moral: "The power of life and death is in the tongue" (Mishlei). Every word we say must be weighed and delivered with sensitivity and tact, so that we spare others from undue anguish. What's more, if we speak to our friends with love and wisdom our words will imbue them with life, as King Solomon said, "A healing tongue is a tree of life."

Application: Envision King Solomon speaking to people with words of love and wisdom. See how his words encourage others and stimulate them with inspiraion and hope. Reflect on your words before you speak and avoid any words that might cause pain. Speak with sensitivity so that your words foster goodness, love, and healing.

SF - HaShem Loves You Unconditionally \ Trust and Tranquility

HaShem Loves You Unconditionally \ Trust and Tranquility

D'var Torah: The hallmark of trust in HaShem is peace of mind. Meaning, our trust in HaShem needs to be so strong that we are certain that HaShem will always provide for us and protect us.  In light of this, one who trusts in HaShem, yet still worries, has not attained true trust in HaShem. Therefore, we need to strengthen our trust so that our hearts fully rely on HaShem. We must be confident that He will always do the best for us in every situation. We fully believe that HaShem will always fulfill what He has promised to do for us. In addition, we trust that HaShem will help us beyond what He has promised. What's more, we know that even if we are undeserving of His help, He will bestow His generous kindness upon us as a free gift.

Moral: HaShem's unconditional love for us is the most important criteria in making it possible for us to acquire unrelenting trust in HaShem. Without this love, we would always worry that we are unworthy of His salvation. The knowledge of HaShem's unconditional love for us, inspires us to always trust in HaShem, despite our flaws and faults.

Application: Envision a mighty oak tree standing in the forest. It's powerful roots hold the tree firmly in place. Strengthen your trust in HaShem so that your trust in HaShem is as secure as an unshakeable oak tree. Know that you can always trust and rely on HaShem's help because He loves you unconditionally.
