The Merit of Redemption \ The Power of Trust
D'var Torah: When Moshe stood at the "burning bush," HaShem revealed to him that He was soon going to free Klal Yisrael from the Egyptian bondage. Moshe Rabenu returned to Egypt and told his people that HaShem spoke with him and revealed that their redemption was imminent. The people believed Moshe's words, and had faith that HaShem would soon free them from slavery. Subsequently, the bondage intensified and the people's faith ebbed away. Even though their original spark of faith was fragile, the short-lived faith of Klal Yisrael was sufficient merit for the miraculous redemption to unfold. Moral: Even the smallest amount of faith, in trying times, holds the merit to bring about HaShem's redemption.
Application: Awaken the ember of faith in HaShem that burns within your heart and be inspired by His promise to bring the final redemption. Rejoice in knowing that your faith in HaShem, brings us closer to the Messianic Age and the building of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. (Based on the commentary of Rav Yerucham of Mir) |
