D'var Torah: "So Pharaoh sent and summoned Yoseph, and they rushed him from the dungeon. He shaved and changed his clothes, and he came to Pharaoh" (Bereishis 41:14). When Pharaoh needed an interpretation of his dreams, Yoseph was rushed out of prison in an instant. Indeed, all deliverance of HaShem is instantaneous. For example, when Klal Yisrael were freed after 210 years of bondage, they left so quickly that they didn't have time for the dough to rise. The deliverance of HaShem is dependent upon the completion of an exact period of time. HaShem decreed that Yoseph should be in jail for twelve years. The very second that period was up, Yoseph was released from jail. Likewise, the final redemption will come as soon as the period of the exile is over. The two thousand years of darkness will end at once and not linger a second longer.
Moral: Our final redemption will come as soon as the period of our exile is finished, as the prophet expressed, "And HaShem, Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His Temple" (Malachi 3:1)
Application: Envision being alive at the second that our exile ends. We are instantly released from all of our troubles. The light of the holy Shechinah will be openly revealed, filling our hearts with eternal joy, wisdom, and goodness.
