"Mordecai raised Hadassah, also known as Esther, as she did not have a father or mother" (cf. Esther 2:7).
Esther was an orphan; "she did not have a father or mother." Her mother died in childbirth, and her father passed away soon after her birth. Orphans typically face significant disadvantages. They lack parental care, encouragement, nourishment, and positive role models. They must overcome numerous challenges to succeed.
Despite these challenges, Esther rose from an orphan to the queen of the entire world! Hashem indeed orchestrated this remarkable rise.
Furthermore, after the Churban (Destruction of the Temple), the Jewish people felt abandoned by Hashem. With the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) and their exile to Babylon, the nation was gripped by feelings of rejection, anguish, and sorrow. In this context, Divine Providence elevated Esther, an orphan, from "rags to riches." Her rise inspired the Jewish people and demonstrated that Hashem is always with us, especially during our darkest moments.
Today: Remember that Hashem is always with you no matter how far you feel from success!
