SF - Esther's Rock-Solid Trust in Hashem

The journey is beautiful

"Esther said to Mordecai, 'Gather all the Jews together and fast for three days and nights. I and my maidens will also fast for three days, and then I will go uninvited to the king'" (cf. Esther 4:16-17). Even Ezra poses a profound question: fasting for three days leaves a person weak, exhausted, and fatigued. Why would Esther approach the king without an invitation after fasting if this is the case? If the king does not extend his scepter to her, she could be sentenced to death by his executioner. Why would Esther risk her life after fasting for three days and without being called by the king for a month? Even Ezra answers that Esther did not rely on natural outcomes or cause and effect. She put her complete trust in Hashem, the Master of the universe, and was unconcerned about the natural consequences of her actions. Thus, she disregarded that fasting for three days would leave her at a disadvantage. Her trust in Hashem was absolute, rock-solid, and unshakeable. Her solid faith and trust in Hashem, against cause and effect, awakened the great miracle of Purim. Today: Let Esther's unwavering trust inspire us to trust in Hashem!
